HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, WORLD. (my contribution to NOT MY SMALL DIARY 14) i just dropped my sketchbook and this tumbled out. i love my best friiiiin. she made me this loveeeeely artistbook/zine/card/amazing. the other reason i love her is, she knows just what i need, when i need it. for example, i was pouting last night and it seemed that nothing could save me. i left the room for a little bit, and when i came back this was playing:
how did she know? (late night record shop) needless to say, i felt worlds better after listening to this song.
also, i was going to do a comic about the horrible PMS i (and everyone around me) was forced to endure last week, but on one of my lower days toby made me this which pretty much summed it up: its all blurry and unreadable because i carried it around with me all week.
Eileen here. Mercury retrograde and I'm strugglin'. (if you don't know what that means, get wit it...and read this: http://cafeastrology.com/mercuryretrograde.html )
there is a cold wind blowing through my apartment, but i still love winter. also, i can't get over how weirdamazingscary the internet is. i probably never will.
I'm back in the saddle. Abby yelled at me for not contributing enough to our collaborative blog... so, here goes.
These are some drawings and comics I did while I was in Northern Ireland. I spent a semester there studying conflict, inventing cheese snacks and having bad luck. (go figure. go fig a fig newton.)
(This last one was inspired by time my brother Brendan and I spent WWOLFing- working on an organic farm in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland.)
That's all I gots for now. For everyone's information: this weekend is AQUARIUS BIRTHDAY FUNTOWN WEEKEND. Abby and I (and Paul Newmon and Ellen DeGeneres) will be celebrating our birthdays. Shower us with gifts and love. Give us showers. Bathe us. Get naked. BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- so i had this dream. i was in a mint colored ice cream shop lit by tiny white christmas lights. i walked past someone playing the musical saw in a booth. in the back corner of the shop, there was a little room shrouded by transluscent drapery. inside, carl aagesen and kiki smith were making music. she was playing a drum. ive never felt so calmed and quited. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- and now for some comics by molly:
